Ukraine Support Tracker

The Kiel Institute for the World Economy is tracking a) which countries have provided aid to Ukraine and b) what types of aid they’ve provided.   Much of this, of course, includes arms and munitions.

Here’s one example of what’s being tracked:

And here’s a link to Kiel’s latest complete report:

I’m also providing a link to a report from the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft which has prepared a timeline of all publicly disclosed weapon shipments or funding packages since 02-24-22.

We’re not expending any BLOOD in this war, but we’re certainly contributing TREASURE.

If that’s what DOLLARS still have a claim to being called.

Russia Moving to Unconventional Warfare?

Former British colonel, Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, thinks it may may have to.

From Newsweek:

“Conventionally, the Russians are performing very badly,” said de Bretton-Gordon. “We’ve seen the amount of tanks that they’ve lost, and troops. And they’re now losing some sort of ground, which is why it is of increasing concern that the Russians may turn to unconventional—what we call asymmetric—warfare.”

Feds Cutting Water Deliveries to States in Southwest

Another of those SERIOUS CRISES that LOOMS FOR YEARS, yet, is IGNORED.

That is, until it is SUDDENLY UPON US.

From ZH:

“Arizona and Nevada face deeper cuts on the amount of water they can draw from the drought-stricken Colorado River, the Interior Department’s Bureau of Reclamation said Tuesday.

“The agency responsible for managing water and power in the western US said “urgent action” is needed as water levels in the Colorado River’s two largest reservoirs — Lake Mead and Lake Powell — continue to drop. Under the new conservation efforts, 21% of Arizona’s annual water allocation from the river system will be reduced in 2023.

“Nevada will see 8% of water deliveries reduced, and Mexico’s share will be cut by 7%. California will be spared from the new measures that begin next year.”

The move comes as the western US faces the worst megadrought in 1,200 years that has decreased levels in Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the US, to lows not seen in eight decades

MEANWHILE, LIBERALS — AND I WRITE THIS AS SOMEONE WHO’S NOT A CONSERVATIVE — waste their time “ASSIGNING” GENDERS and PARSING PRONOUNS.

To paraphrase William of Occam — WHY MULTIPLY ABUSRDITIES UNNECESSARILY?

Have we not ENTIRELY LOST SIGHT OF OUR PRIORITIES?

IF RUNNING OUT OF WATER WON’T GET OUR ATTENTION, WHAT WILL?

Chris Hedges on Collapse

A dire forecast by a journalist who’s never taken prisoners.

We Are Not the First Civilization to Collapse, but We Will Probably Be the Last

Here’s Hedges quoting anthropologist, Ronald Wright:

“‘Calculations of humanity’s footprint suggest we have been in ‘ecological deficit,’ taking more than Earth’s biological systems can withstand, for at least 30 years. Topsoil is being lost far faster than nature can replenish it; 30 percent of arable land has been exhausted since the mid-20th century.

“We have financed this monstrous debt by colonizing both past and future, drawing energy, chemical fertilizer and pesticides from the planet’s fossil carbon, and throwing the consequences onto coming generations of our species and all others. Some of those species have already been bankrupted: they are extinct. Others will follow.'”

And here’s Hedges himself:

This time the collapse will be global.  It will not be possible, as in ancient societies, to migrate to new ecosystems rich in natural resources. The steady rise in heat will devastate crop yields and make much of the planet uninhabitable. Climate scientists warn that once temperatures rise by 4℃, the earth, at best, will be able to sustain a billion people.

“The more insurmountable the crisis becomes, the more we, like our prehistoric ancestors, will retreat into self-defeating responses, violence, magical thinking and denial.”

THE REST OF THE PIECE IS JUST AS UNWAVERING.

Michael ‘Big Short’ Burry . . .

 . . . Dumps Entire Equities Portfolio.

From ZH:

“Michael Burry – who runs the smallish Scion Capital hedge fund – has done something few of his peers would consider doing: he has traded in line with his statement, and according to his just released 13Fthe famed investor has liquidated his entire portfolio which as of March 31, had a notional value of just over $200 million (including $35 million in AAPL put notional), and instead held on to just one stock: private jail operator GEO Group, which he had previously invested in but had dumped all of his holdings at the end of 2021 only to sport a modest $3.3 million, or 501K share position, as of June 30. More notably, and as shown in the chart below, this was the only security he held on to as of the end of Q2.

Hmm, did he speak with E.F Hutton?

God, we’ll never know.

Hope we do better with TRUMP and those FILES.
